Organizational Development

Department Organizational Development

This large project involved review and definition of 487 management level positions within a specific Department of a large organization. Associated with the project were the conceptual design for an automated organizational management system, a review of the Department's human resources systems capabilities, and team building through meetings, discussions, and direct contact with the staff functions. Other aspects of this project included identifying and defining redundant or overlapping functional responsibilities between organizational segments, recommending appropriate solutions to improve overall organizational efficiency, and specifying regulatory committed responsibilities.

Management Program

OAC worked with an internal department responsible for licensing and quality assurance to reorganize, redirect, and increase the overall effectiveness of the organization. A functional organization study, manpower and resource allocation effort, restructuring, and Plant Enhancement Team Projects (PET Projects) were used to redirect the group, motivate the personnel, and increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.

Quality Assurance Department Diagnostic, Reorganization, Enhancement

This project encompassed approximately seven months of effort in redirecting the Quality Program, reorganizing the Quality Department, providing an enhancement program, and providing value assessments for top management as to cost per activity. It included a diagnostic, activity definition effort for all activities in each group, man power allocations on a per task and per individual basis, and restructuring of the personnel to optimize cost/benefit.
